I went to Stitch & Bitch this afternoon, Michelle hosted today.
Michelle's First-Born, Mr 9 showed me his
Spent Shell Hut he made to enter in the local show
It's amazing, so much detail and lots of recycling!
A very well deserved Champion Exhibit.
He has also been very busy showing sheep with his uncle,
he is gathering a very big stash of ribbons.
When I was growing up, my family showed horses,
we had lots of ribbons, but theses one's are just so soft,
Michelle has been busy sewing all the ribbons together
Here is a cushion for Mr. 9's bed,
I love the colours and the texture of the ribbons.
Now Michelle is busy sewing some more into a throw for his bed
And, this is what I took along to Stitch and Bitch,
some boats, fish, pirates, rockets and robots,
and lots of aqua.
I've had a very productive afternoon,
hopefully these will turn into some new
Buntings for the shop this week
Enjoy the rest of the weekend
See you tomorrow
Jacqueline
That's a marvellously big pile of bunting flags, you've definitely had a productive day!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of my childhood showing horses. We had ribbons everywhere!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea with the show ribbons !!!
ReplyDeleteI seen a quilt made of the show ribbons at this year's Royal Melbourne Show. It was quite the show stopper.
ReplyDeleteI love your Picnik slide show - how clever!
Oh to be as creative as you ~ I want to have the skills to gain right of entry to a 'Stitch and Bitch'! Stopping by to acknowledge the forgotten 200th post ;0)
