Remington Letter-Riter

I picked up this old treasure at the op shop last year for $5.
We get it out most school holidays
and everyone has a turn.
It's hours of entertainment for 3 boys,
they find it so fascinating, money well spent

See you tomorrow
Jacqueline.

Retro Swap

A while ago, I participated in a Retro Swap
organised by Bec at Fun With Little Wise Owl
I have a large box of knitting and crochet patterns
that I picked up at a garage sale a while ago.
The lovely ladies above featured in one book.

I scanned the picture and printed it onto some calico,
then used this to make a needle case.
The floral print is from my
mother-in-laws, mother-in-laws stash,
and the pink gingham, bloggless Judy passed onto me.
My needle case went off to

From my swap partner,
 I recieved......

Linda made these delightful wall hangings for the boys
from some vintage fabric.
The are absolutely perfect!
Linda also included some of her lovely creations
for me....thanks Linda.

Top The Lot In Crystal

The elderly lady that lived on the corner
 had a garage last year.
I rummaged through boxes of old treasures for ages.
One of the boxes I bought home was
old knitting, crochet patterns and magazines,
from the early 70's - mid 80's

I have also been involved in a "retro swap"
organised by Bec over at
so I started hunting through the box
hoping for some inspiration to stike.
There is so many halarious things in that box.
Thought I would share this one with blog land.

Don't worry fellow swappers,
I have not created one of these to send out.
Not sure if you would call this retro, or just plain ugly.

Jacqueline :)
