Retro Swap

A while ago, I participated in a Retro Swap
organised by Bec at Fun With Little Wise Owl
I have a large box of knitting and crochet patterns
that I picked up at a garage sale a while ago.
The lovely ladies above featured in one book.

I scanned the picture and printed it onto some calico,
then used this to make a needle case.
The floral print is from my
mother-in-laws, mother-in-laws stash,
and the pink gingham, bloggless Judy passed onto me.
My needle case went off to

From my swap partner,
 I recieved......

Linda made these delightful wall hangings for the boys
from some vintage fabric.
The are absolutely perfect!
Linda also included some of her lovely creations
for me....thanks Linda.

Jacqueline :)

  1. Thanks again for the awesome swap present. I am using it and am think your gift actually gave me that nudge I needed to start hand sewing again.
I love the wall hangings that you got as well. I bet your boys were really excited to see them.

    Thanks again,

  2. I really wish you had made one of those pink outfits for yourself. Perfect for the school walk on these chilly Autumn mornings!
I think blogless Judy should get herself a blog. I for one would love to see more of her wonderful smocking creations. We may have to start a blog petition.

  3. The needle case is fantastic, such a perfect image for it.
Wow, Linda did a great job on the wall hangings I bet your boys will love them.
Hope you join in again for the next swap.

  4. HI Jacquie, If you get a chance you have to go to there is a bunting, Zippy Zippy style cushion.
