Hee hee, don't worry it's not just you! I've made a couple of tops that ended up in the bin. They're really difficult to get right.
I actually don't mind it, but the most important thing has to be that you like it. I say keep trying as when you find something that you do love - you can make it over and over in all different colors for all seasons and again when it wears out!
Whoops! But, I think if you pop a cardy over the top to settle it down a bit it could work a treat!. Good on you for having a go. I took a leaf out of you book today and had an afternoon Nana nap. Excellent!
I know where you are coming from but all is not lost. I made a similar pattern and ended up shirring around the bottom over my hips, I also shirred the bottom of the sleeves on one but yours might be a bit short. Nothing to lose. I also agree it might be handy to wear under a cardy.
