Buried Treasure

A couple of weeks ago, we had our annual spud harvest.

It was a "boys only" job

The varieties planted were Nicola, Desiree and Charlotte.
Peter was a little disappointed, he expected many more
from one whole bed dedicated to spuds.

The big goal was to find the oddest shapes.
It's been a long wait for the boys,

  3. I love that they were celebrating the odd ones. I just got given a book called the potato people by Pamela Allen have you seen it?

  4. Great job! We harvested our first potatoes just yesterday...roasted them with fresh garlic on the BBQ!

I love how kids enjoy all the weird and wacky shapes that potatoes can be! Kim

  5. Lovely! I'm worried I haven't seen many flowers on our plants this year...
