Button Swap

The Madeit site has a forum where the Madeit sellers can discuss all sorts of topics.

It is very usefull and you learn lots crafty and not so crafty stuff.

Recently a button swap has been organised and I decided to participate again.

My parcel arrived from my fellow swapper yesterday,

A lovely owl broach, a little owl pouch and a bag full of buttons.

Yippee!
Thanks so much Little Wise Owl
I have just posted mine off to my swap partner today
so I will just give a little peek at my creation.
I will show more once it has arrived.

Seeds for Spring

A month or so ago, Peter bought a heated seed propogating tray,
to give his seed raising exercise a hurry up over the winter months.
It has been really succesful and the seeds are growing like crazy.
He has saved seed and he very exited about growing it.
Peter and the boys planted corn, pak choi, corriander, beetroot, basil and lettuce seeds.
The corn seeds were up in 3 days! The photo above was taken at about 8 days.
(The corn is now too big for the container at 3 weeks)
The trays have a cover and little vents to open and is heated underneath to about 23 degrees
The 3 beds of green manure have been dug in and is waiting for the spring planting.
We could not believe the amount of worms in the beds!
The 3rd born was Peters helper for the day when the chopping and digging was done

The boys love helping in the patch

Bring on Spring
Jacqueline :)
